Special Matches Highlight Finale of the Civil War Sesquicentennial


The North-South Skirmish Association (N-SSA) will hold its 131st National Competition on May 14-17, 2015, at Fort Shenandoah, near Winchester, Virginia. Member units compete in live-fire matches with original or authentic reproduction Civil War period muskets, carbines, rifles, revolvers, mortars and cannons. It is the largest Civil War event of its kind in the country.

Founded in 1950, the N-SSA has over 3,200 individuals that make up its 200 member teams. Each team represents a Civil War regiment or unit and wears the uniform they wore over 150 years ago.

The 130th Fall Nationals - Results


The 130th N-SSA Nationals were graced with excellent weather, and lots of great camaradie and friendly competition.

Fall was breaking out all over in Winchester, and gave us a wonderful weekend to shoot, compete, see excellent costuming, and get together for all sorts of events.

N-SSA Regions


The N-SSA Region encompasses and consists of  (13) regions that are spread out within the following  areas.  For more information about the N-SSA Region or any teams within the N-SSA Region, you can send e-mail to the Regional Officers.

Here is a map of all the regions, showing the various ranges that each region uses. You can find a range in your general area, and check out the Skirmish Calendar to find a skirmish near you!
