The Tammany Regiment is a member of the New England Region of the N-SSA. We currently have 13 active members, the majority of them living in the greater NYC area and Long Island. The team also has members, displaced New Yorkers, living in Florida and Massachusetts.
The unit, also referred to as the 42nd NY Volunteer Infantry, has long been a member of the N-SSA. For more than 25 years, The Tammany Regiment has taken part in many a skirmish, both at the regional and national level. Originally, the team was a member of the Metropolitan Region, however we are now a member of the New England Region.
The New England Region consists of 15 teams who participate in at least 10 skirmishes a year. Tammany Regiment, though small in size, is a very active member of the Region. A contingent from the team is at every regional skirmish and we host a skirmish during the season.
